REAP-IR Thermal Now Spawning On Interchange

You were not able to find thermal optics in raid for weeks as Battlestate Games had removed them from the loot tables in Escape From Tarkov. But, with the recent updates players were pleasantly surprised to find them added back on the menu! The release of update 12.8 included a stealth buff to the loot found in the KIBA Arms store located in the mall on Interchange. The weapons often found on the walls of the store now spawn with more attachments including the REAP-IR thermal optic. Trijicon REAP-IR Thermal Riflescope

The Trijicon REAP-IR thermal riflescope is a weapon mounted thermal optic. It has a 2.5x zoom with either white on black or black on white heat signature settings which makes finding targets at range very easy. This gives you a formidable advantage in engagements often allowing you to kill targets before they even see you and makes it one of the most powerful items in Escape From Tarkov. This is a very expensive item that can be sold to traders for 199,244 roubles or on the flea market for around 850k roubles. You can obtain the REAP-IR as a barter trade from either Skier and Mechanic. You need a REAP-IR to complete Mechanic’s Gunsmith Part 16 quest and use it paired with the M1A to kill 5 PMCS for Prapor’s Test Drive Part 1 quest.

KIBA Arms International Store

The KIBA Arms International store is located on the first floor of the mall in Interchange. Entrance to the store is locked behind two doors that each require their own key. In addition, power must be turned on at the Power Station before the door can be unlocked. PMCs that make it into the store can find high quality weapon parts, modded weapons, weapon box containers, grenades and even Gzhel-K armor. When going for KIBA players must be careful as the scav boss, Killa, often spawns close to the store. Players must also be wary as a siren alarm will be triggered when the door is opened alerting other players to your position. This alarm can be deactivated in the manager’s office located in the corner of Goshan and Oli or at a kiosk located on the second floor of the mall.
